My Healthy Balance is a free online, educational healthy lifestyle program which encourages and supports healthy behaviour changes related to physical activity, healthy eating and healthy weight. The program consists of seven weekly sessions with two additional modules for those diagnosed with Impaired Fasting Glucose or Impaired Glucose Tolerance, also known as pre-diabetes. Participants receive a reminder and motivational email weekly.
The program consists of various tools to encourage and support healthy behaviour change. Such tools include:

- Interactive Energy Balance Tool highlighting the relationship between healthy and unhealthy foods, physical activity, portion size and the impact on energy balance
- Healthy Weight Tracker

- My Tags where participants can tag web links during each session and refer back to at a later stage if they so wish
Upon completion of a session participants receive a retention pack sent to their home or office address completely free of charge. Each pack contains resources that assist the individual to achieve their goal and practice healthy behaviours. Dependent upon the session completed, the retention pack may include, but is not limited to:
- Pedometer
- Stress ball
- Shopping bag
- Pen
- Drink bottle
- Sweat Band
- Participants lost an average of 1.5 kg over the duration of the program.
- Statistically significant reductions in body mass index and waist circumference measurements.
- A 28% increase in the number of participants who were active for at least 30 minutes or more each day.
- A 27% increase in the number of participants who consumed two fruit and five serves of vegetables each day.
- 15% increase in people not adding salt to their foods.
- 14% increase in people consuming fish at least 3 times each week.
- 13% increase in people who consume low fat milk compared to full cream milk.
- 11% increase in people consuming 2 standard alcoholic drinks, or less, each day.
