When you are participating in a challenge we recommend you regularly get together with your team members to keep each other on track.
Exercising in a group makes physical activity fun, motivating, and sociable. You are more likely to succeed at the challenge when working together as team.
Here are some ideas your team might like to try:
- Organise daily or weekly walks with your team mates. Explore your local area!
- Have healthy dinner parties - each week a different team member has to cook for everyone else.
- Organise a salad club at your work or with team mates. Everyone brings a different salad to share - why not make it a weekly event?
- Find out whether your workplace or organisation has a healthy catering policy.
- Register your team in a local social sport competition. For example - netball, soccer, or hockey.
- Have a team picnic on the weekend. Bring along some equipment and activities to keep you active, such as cricket, volleyball or bowls. Bring the kids along!
- Go for a quick walk with team mates on your lunch breaks.
- Take a scenic bike ride around your area.
- Try a new activity together - it may be dancing, water aerobics or horse riding!
- Hold a car wash to raise money for a local club/organisation.
